Today, indie rock band Dogpark has released their debut single with Severance Records, “Caviar”, revealing the group as the latest signing to Severance Records, the independent, modern rock label based in Nashville, Tenn. with a global vision and footprint, and a division of Big Loud Rock.

Steve “Stevo” Robertson, Co-President of Severance Records, shares, “When Mike and I launched Severance Records less than a year ago, our mission was clear: trust our instincts and sign the bands that truly moved us. We could feel indie rock on the rise, and we knew we wanted to back bands with world-class vocals and killer songwriting. Dogpark embodies everything we believe in, and from the moment we heard their sound, we were beyond stoked. We never checked the numbers; just the goosebumps on our skin."

Speaking on this new chapter, the band adds, “Support from Severance has enabled us to greatly expand our recording and touring, for which we are grateful. We've adapted to the collaboration that comes with signing, and having an invested team at our backs is rare. We're eager for both the band and label to prosper from this signing.”
Produced by Carlos de la Garza (Paramore, The Linda Lindas, Cold War Kids), Dogpark's inaugural release with Severance Records/Big Loud Rock is a statement alternative rock record to introduce the band's evolved next chapter. Written by the band before signing their record deal, "Caviar" takes opposites of two people in a relationship and frames them in a visual, energetic and angsty tone. Anchored by an anthemic chorus and a driving instrumental backbone, Dogpark shows this next batch of music will be a jump up from their debut EP in both writing and musicality.

The band explains, “'Caviar' feels like the next evolution of form and energy from songs on our debut EP… particularly “Now It's Over”. Even though our audience has yet to hear a definitive studio version, they've come to know the song from our live shows. Collectively we look forward to the moment every night where we kick in to 'Caviar' and our show reaches its highest gear. For us and our fans, it's a new high.”

Dogpark recently announced that they're going on their 'Breaking in America' headline tour through December. They will be stopping by major cities including Nashville, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and more (details below, media passes available upon request).
