Downtown Music Publishing has announced the signing of U.K. producer and songwriter Zdot. He has worked with the likes of Wiley, Stormzy, Lady Leshurr, Krept & Konan, Devlin and Kano, among others.
After producing multiple songs on U.K. Grime MC Bugzy Malone's chart topping debut album, Walk With Me (2015), Zdot most recently produced two tracks on Bugzy's second album, Facing Time (2016), which charted at No. 6 on the Official U.K. Album Chart. He also had multiple cuts on Wiley's last album Snakes & Ladders (2014), and produced Stormzy's breakthrough single "Know Me From" (2015), which was featured on BBC Radio 1.
Zdot is managed by Neale Easterby of Empire Artist Management.
Of the signing, Downtown U.K.'s A&R Manager Tom Graham said, "We're thrilled to be working with Zdot. He's incredibly talented, hard working, ambitious and defines what we're all about at Downtown. We're equally excited about working in partnership with Empire—solid management makes all the difference."
