CAST Centers has announced that Multiplatinum singer/songwriter and activist, Demi Lovato, will join the mind and body wellness organization as a business partner. Lovato will serve on the advisory board, along with her longtime manager Phil McIntyre, CEO of the music management agency Philymack. Based in Los Angeles, CAST is an organization that focuses on personal growth and mental health with programs tailored for everyone in areas of self-awareness, addiction, anxiety, depression and leadership mentorship, among others.
In addition to her role as a strategic advisor, Lovato will continue to collaborate with CAST Centers on forthcoming initiatives, such as an ongoing series of wellness conferences, in which she will be among the featured guest speakers. The debut weekend conference will take place on Nov. 12 - 13 in Los Angeles.
"Demi Lovato is the perfect partner for us, as she shares our mission to revolutionize the perception of mental health,” said Mike Bayer, Founder and CEO, CAST Centers. “We’re excited to further our work together on erasing the associated stigma and replacing it with a positive orientation toward personal development, self-awareness and overall happiness.”

Founded by Bayer, a personal development coach to business executives, artists and people from all walks of life, CAST Centers is where Lovato herself sought treatment. Over the past five years Lovato has maintained a close relationship with CAST Centers, most recently with CAST Centers on Tour, an initiative to present intimate health and wellness events in every city on Lovato and Nick Jonas’ nationwide Honda Civic Tour: Future Now.
“In working with Demi Lovato, we are able to create widespread awareness and inspire a new generation to think about mental health in the same way as physical health,” Bayer added. “By the time CAST Centers on Tour ends on Sept. 17, we will have gotten in front of 12,000 young people to spread this message of self-empowerment, and that’s just the beginning. I’m excited about what lies ahead.”
“CAST was my home while I was in recovery and over the past several years, I have stayed close to the staff and to Mike Bayer and have seen their passion and tireless efforts firsthand, not only through my own treatment, but with others as well,” said Lovato. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to become a partner in a business that I have such close ties to, and to continue to raise awareness around mental health.”
