Thurston Moore’s record label, Daydream Library Series, has announced that Reed Smidebush will take on the role of New Artist Liaison starting January 1, 2025.
Smidebush has had an illustrious career working with artists. He has worked with prolific acts such as Yoko Ono, The Lemonheads, Dirty Projectors, Guided By Voices, and Surfer Blood. He is also the co-founder of Paul Is Dead Records, an independent label dedicated to inclusivity and DIY sensibilities.
In his new position, Reed will focus on discovering emerging talent and helping them create engaging, sustainable digital content.
Additionally, as of January 1st, the label will be fully eco-friendly, transitioning to digital-only music releases and eliminating plastic production.
