Dark and Suspenseful Instrumentals Needed For An Independent Feature Film

Dark, suspenseful instrumentals are needed for an (up to) $500, direct-to-producer placement in an independent feature film!

This film's producer is looking for a mid-tempo instrumental that would work well as a replacement for “Re-Animation," which is currently temped in:

“Re-Animation” Peter Godfrey

The film's producer is NOT looking for clones or soundalikes! Similar tempo, style, and overall vibe? Yes. Clones? No!

The client is looking for an instrumental that evokes feelings of skepticism. The music will be played when the characters awake into an alternate reality. Judging from the reference the film's producer gave us, well-composed orchestral-driven instrumentals will probably work best. However, other arrangements could work as long as they evoke the right emotions. We’d recommend listening to the reference a couple of times so you can really hone in on the “vibe,” as this request is all about setting a skeptical, suspenseful mood!

NOTE: You’d be wise to stick to a single motif and mood throughout your pieces, so your submissions are cohesive from top to bottom. Please also avoid submitting anything that has an overbearing, horror-movie sound.

Your submissions should be about 2 to 3 minutes in length, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned endings will work best. Do NOT copy the reference in any way, shape or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, tone and overall vibe. Broadcast quality is needed.

The license fee for this placement is (up to) $500, depending on the ultimate use. This is a non-exclusive, direct-to-producer placement, so you’ll keep 100% ownership of your copyright and master recording, plus you’ll also get 100% of the license fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your copyright and master recording to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by a TAXI A&R screener who works directly with the music supervisor!

Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Wednesday, June 10th, 2020.
