Original renditions of “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” are needed by a Music Licensing company that specializes in music for content creators as well as TV shows and film projects.
They are in search of cover songs in:
• Any Genre/Sub-Genre (EDM, punk, and hip-hop preferred)
• Any Tempo
• With Male or Female Vocals
The client is open to material from any era in all (commercially viable) styles and genres. However, they would ideally love to receive several EDM versions, punk versions, and hip-hop versions that include the original melody, plus some creative arrangements. Genres like singer-songwriter, rock, pop, R&B, etc. are fair game as well.
Please stick to the original lyrics as much as possible so the root of each song is recognizable. If you stray from the original melodies and lyrics, your covers may not be as appealing or usable.
Although this request is pretty open, the quality bar will be extremely high. Only the best of the best will be sent to the client. They’re very selective and looking for versions that will make them say, “Wow, that’s cool!”
All submissions should be at least 30 seconds long and cannot exceed 90 seconds long. Broadcast Quality is needed.
This company offers both exclusive and non-exclusive deals. The specific deal points will be handled on a case-by-case basis. If you’re inclined to sign an exclusive deal, please don’t submit material that’s already signed with any other libraries or publishers for this pitch. You must own or control your master to submit to this opportunity. Please submit as many songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI.
