Capitol Music Group Announces Partnership with Lyft

Today, Capitol Music Group (CMG) announced a partnership with Lyft, making Lyft the label group’s official rideshare partner. Together, the two companies will offer music fans, Lyft riders and drivers exclusive experiences with top artists. The official partnership follows a history of collaborations with CMG artists, label events and activations.

Brian Nolan, Senior Vice President of 1750 Agency, Capitol Records’ in-house brand partnerships and sync licensing team, said, “We are extremely proud of the relationship we have developed with Lyft. They have a very clear vision when it comes to their music strategy and share many of CMG’s core values. We look forward to continuing to develop successful campaigns together.”

“From passengers and drivers sharing a love of artists, to taking a Lyft ride to your favorite show, music has always been a part of the Lyft experience. That's why today, we are excited to announce our partnership with Capitol Music Group," said Austin Schumacher, Lyft's Head of Culture and Entertainment. "We've had a long history of working with and supporting Capitol artists, and we can't wait to continue bringing these experiences to our riders and drivers."

The partnership officially launches tonight, with Lyft offering select riders exclusive access to Beck’s special performance at the Capitol Studios. The seven-time GRAMMY® winner is celebrating the release of HYPERSPACE, his 14th studio album and first since 2017’s Colors, which won two GRAMMY Awards.

Lyft has been an integral part of such 2019 events as CMG’s International Women’s Day celebration and the Motown Manor at Essence Festival in New Orleans, where Lyft and Motown executives teamed up for a panel on diversity and inclusion. Lyft has also partnered with CMG artists like Katy Perry, Paul McCartney, Migos and more.
