The Super Bowl finally returned to L.A. for the first time in 29 years at the newly built SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA which houses both the Rams and Chargers. However, the last Superbowl here was actually in Pasadena at the Rose Bowl. The very first Superbowl was held at the Coliseum in Downtown Los Angeles In 1967 and the last time it was held there was in 1973 so this could be considered the first one in L.A. in almost 50 years.

Meanwhile, leading up to the big game an L.A. Rams expo took place at the Convention Center with three back to back concerts at the Crypto.com Arena (Formerly Staples Center) in Downtown L.A. Thursday-Saturday. Day one of the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest featured Halsey and Machine Gun Kelly with guests Travis Barker, Willow, and Trippie Redd. The second day consisted of Mickey Guyton, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani. The final day before Super Bowl LVI was closed out with Green Day and Miley Cyrus.
