Grammy Award-winning producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Malay announces the launch of his Britannia Row Recordings record label in partnership with BMG. Under this high-profile joint venture, they will personally sign, produce, develop, and release acts across genres, building an independent home for many of his creative pursuits in the process.
Originally co-founded by Malay and longtime manager Randy Cohenin 2016, Britannia Row Recordings welcomed Grammy Award-winning mixing engineer Manny Marroquin as a partner this year and officially came to life. Representing the union of these three industry mavens, the company ascribes to a philosophy of emboldening and upholding artistic vision and creative integrity.
In the press release of the launch of Britannia Row Recordings, Malay commented, “I’ve always dreamt of launching a label. It’s an honor to help artists realize their potential in the studio. Now, I get the opportunity to join them for the whole ride—from signing to marketing, release, and distribution. We found the perfect partner in BMG, and we’re excited to kick off an incredible new chapter together.”
“Malay is one of the most influential producers and songwriters in music today,”said BMG Executive. “His vision for Britannia Row is based on a shared philosophy of artist empowerment. It’s an honor to join forces with Malay, Manny, and Randy to bring this to life.”
Britannia Row Recordings makes a loud introduction with its very first signing The Parlor Mob. The New Jersey quartet unveils a new single entitled “4th of July” on June 22 at all digital retailers. The track introduces the group’s forthcoming full-length produced by Malay and mixed by Marroquin at the Larrabee Studios in Los Angeles.
