Punk-Rock legend Bob Mould played the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, CA on Friday night (4/4). From 1979-1988, Mould was a member of Hardcore Punk/Alternative Rock trio Husker Du and Alternative Rock trio Sugar (1992-1995) with groups like the Foo Fighters and Pixies being heavily influenced by Husker Du. Since his 1989 debut with Workbook, Mould has released a total of 15 studio albums—most recently, he released Here We Go Crazy, his first album in five years. To celebrate his latest release, Mould performed in Berlin, Germany, London and Bristol, England, and graced the stage at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The tour kicked off on April 1st in San Diego, CA, with a third stop in L.A.
Following a solo acoustic set from Craig Finn, Mould took the stage shortly after 9 p.m. As with Husker Du and Sugar, Mould continues to perform with a trio. With the songs being shorter in length, Mould's set consisted of 27 songs, with the first 15 being from his solo catalog. Mould opened with “Star Machine” and played seven Husker Du songs in total, four of which were included in the encore—“Hate Paper Doll,” “I Apologize,” “Something I Learned Today,” and “Makes No Sense at All.”
