BMI® (Broadcast Music, Inc.®) has announced a new licensing agreement with Flywheel Sport’s at-home fitness program, Fly On Demand. This agreement gives Flywheel the right to publicly perform more than 14 million musical works from BMI’s award-winning repertoire, enriching the fitness experience while supporting songwriters, composers and publishers around the world.
The Fly community supports your workout journey with curated playlists to fit your workout preference, bringing BMI’s more than 900,000 affiliates along for the ride.
“Flywheel Sports is a leader in the fitness market, and we’re excited to expand our partnership with them on this new digital initiative,” said Evan Parness, BMI’s Executive Director, Digital Licensing. “As music continues to serve emerging digital mediums such as Fly On Demand, BMI is actively working with new online services to ensure that our songwriters are compensated, and this agreement is just another great example of music and fitness coming together to create the best user experience.”
“Flywheel strongly believes in the power of music as part of our fitness experience. We are proud to partner with BMI and support the musicians and songwriters whose music helps us deliver world-class workouts to our FlyFam, both in our studios and at home on the Flywheel Home Bike,” said Matt O’Connor General Manager, Fly On Demand.
