Songwriters, composers and music publishers are receiving royalty rates based on outdated copyright laws. BMI has a mission to make Congress aware of this inequity and is seeking help from the industry. The Songwriter Equity Act (H.R. 1283 and S. 662) would provide much-needed updates, and it is critical now to make sure this legislation passes.
