The series, hosted virtually over zoom, is designed to go over the fundamentals of what every music industry career professional needs to know to start. Two different sessions are planned, one in the fall and one in the spring. The first session will be divided into three weekly courses, each week will focus on a specific topic related to the music industry, led by an expert from our company. Though the series is to help BIPOC, it is open to all who are interested in attending, aimed at high school and college-aged students.
Kacy Swain, who was recently appointed as the first Chief Social Initiative Officer, is leading the label team with ideas and campaigns to support the social views of the company. “Take Note” is one such initiative. “I believe one of the biggest ways we can create change is by providing access and spreading knowledge,” explains Swain. “We want to provide access to those who have been failed by a system that doesn’t benefit them a chance to learn, ask questions, and make connections.”
Each week will focus on a topic specific to the music Industry.
