Big Yellow Dog Music has welcomed award-winning songwriter Trent Tomlinson to its roster.
Tomlinson, known for penning hits like the No. 1 single "Damn Strait" (Scotty McCreery) and the RIAA Black Diamond Certified "In Case You Didn’t Know" (Brett Young), has become a sought-after collaborator for artists such as Lainey Wilson, George Strait, Chris Young, and Sara Evans.
"What an honor and privilege to be a part of such an iconic company as Big Yellow Dog," says Tomlinson. "From the very first meeting, I knew it’s where I wanted and needed to be. The ownership and staff shared my same passion for the hustle, and the camaraderie was second to none of any place I had ever been professionally. Thank you, Carla and Kerry."
With a career spanning over two decades, Tomlinson's songwriting has garnered more than three billion streams across platforms, as well as a BMI Song of the Year award for "In Case You Didn’t Know." As a solo artist, he has made his mark on the Top 40 Billboard Hot Country Songs chart with tracks like "One Wing In The Fire," "She Just Might Have Her Radio On" and "Drunker Than Me."
"Trent Tomlinson is a world-class songwriter who has honed his craft through dedication and hard work," says Big Yellow Dog Music co-founder Carla Wallace. "I'm thrilled to work with him and proud to welcome him to the Big Yellow Dog Music family.”
Tomlinson joins Big Yellow Dog Music's esteemed roster of writers, which includes Meghan Trainor, Jessie James Decker, Logan Mize, Tenille Townes, Daniel Tashian, and more. For additional details, visit bigyellowdogmusic.com.
