Mexican electro-pop band Belanova is embracing the nostalgia wave as they return to the U.S. stage for the first time since 2018. Belanova’s Vida En Rosa tour stopped by the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles on April 26th for a sold-out show. The band became popular in the Latin pop scene in the early 2000s thanks to their catchy choruses and energetic melodies.
The trio composed of singer Denisse Guerrero, keyboardist/guitarist Edgar Huerta and bassist Ricardo "Richie" Arreola made their grand entrance to thunderous applause from the crowd. The venue was filled with die-hard fans wearing eye-catching outfits - an homage to the band's bright artistic style. The night started with the band's biggest international hit to date “Me Pregunto.” Belanova treated fans to a variety of songs across their six-album catalog.
Guerrero's vocal prowess was on full display as she flawlessly hit those difficult high notes for songs including "Y Aún Así Te Vas" and "Por Ti." As a fun surprise, they also performed covers of Juan Gabriel’s Amor Eterno and Selena’s Como La Flor which gleefully delighted everyone. Towards the end of the night, Guerrero personally selected several fans from the audience wearing fun outfits and invited them onstage. Guerrero asked each person what was their inspiration for the outfit choice and every single one of them sweetly answered "You."
Their catchy pop sound was a big hit with the crowd as everyone was singing and dancing along, enjoying the night. The band ended their set with their chart-topping vibrant hit "Rosa Pastel."
