Bandsintown, the concert discovery platform, has launched 'Big Break', the first data-driven program designed to spotlight and support emerging artists in live music.
Bandsintown "Big Break" is data-driven and identifies artists who have grown the most between 100 and 5,000 Bandsintown trackers within a 6 month period. "Big Break" artists will receive promotion across Bandsintown's digital network, in customized editorial, in-app features, brand partnerships, touring and special showcase opportunities and social media promotion. The program will spotlight 50 new artists in the coming year. Because an artist's growth on Bandsintown is organic, their "trackers" are authentic trendsetters. Bandsintown will offer Big Break artists massive exposure across its concert discovery network for a 12 month period, allowing fans to be the first to discover music's most promising up-and-comers.
"We know how hard it is for developing acts to reach the next level, and we're passionate about helping them to achieve this milestone," said Fabrice Sergent, Bandsintown Managing Partner. "Our latest program uses data to identify artists who have seen extensive growth on our platform within a six-month span and helps support them at a crucial turning point in their careers. We're extremely excited to work with each of these artists and to watch them grow. We would also like to thank the artists for inviting us along for their ride."
Bandsintown is launching 'Big Break' with Los Angeles rock trio FOXTRAX, London-based singer-songwriter Minke, Vancouver-based indie-pop band Peach Pit and Seattle synth-pop duo SISTERS.
"We're super excited to be part of the program," said Peach Pit manager, Tristan Orchard. "Bandsintown is really valuable in ensuring the group's fans know about upcoming shows and it's really awesome they're supporting emerging artists."
