Join Musicians Corner for the SPEAKMUSIC panel event on Wed., March 18 at the Parthenon in Nashville's Centennial Park. The discussion topic for the evening will be Life on the Road. Come to hear artists, tour managers, production managers, and audio engineers discuss all aspects of life on the road including job responsibilities, balancing work and home life, working as a contractor, and more. After the panel portion of the evening, stick around for a time of connection and networking over free appetizers from Take Away Catering & Events.

Kyshona - Artist
Kyshona has always lent her voice and music to those that feel they have been silenced or forgotten. She began her career as a music therapist, writing her first songs with her patients--the students and inmates under her care. She soon found the need to write independently and find her own voice, and endeavor which led her to the fertile ground of the Nashville creative community and songwriting culture.

Jane Donald - Tour Manager
After graduating from college with a degree in Graphic Design in 2003, Jane worked as a designer and project manager for an independent book publisher in London for 6 years. She changed career paths and started in the music industry after she moonlighted as production assistant for supergroup Them Crooked Vultures in 2009. A subsequent job offer followed on tour with Foo Fighters and from there she moved from London to Los Angeles and continued to work on the road with artists such as Pharrell Williams, Mariah Carey, Kanye West and Ariana Grande. Jane relocated to Nashville in 2018 and turned her hand to Tour Management, working for Sara Bareilles, Miley Cyrus and Childish Gambino. She still designs, enjoys photography and loves traveling the world.
Dan Layus - Artist (Augustana)
Dan Layus has fronted the band Augustana since 2002 and is the writer behind the hit songs “Boston” and “Sweet and Low”. The band has released 4 full-length LP’s and multiple singles and EP’s. Dan has also contributed as a writer to numerous songs for other artists like The Highwomen’s “Loose Change”. He released a solo album in 2016 called “Dangerous Things” which featured the voices of the acclaimed Grammy-nominated group The Secret Sisters and has been a touring artist for over 15 years. Dan and Augustana have headlined shows across North America and Europe and have opened for artists across multiple genres, including Dixie Chicks, One Direction, Snow Patrol and OneRepublic.
Trey Smith - FOH Engineer
Trey Smith has been touring as a FOH Engineer for over 15 years. He has worked with artists such as Thomas Rhett, Sara Bareilles, OneRepublic, Little Big Town, and many others. Along with FOH mixing, Trey has many years of experience as a Tour and Production Manager, as well as mixing live records and broadcast for several artists.
Zito - Production Manager
A man with one name, Zito is a 21 year veteran of the music industry. He has toured with some of the largest names in music including; Ariana Grande, Backstreet Boys, Sia, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Josh Groban, OneRepublic, New Kids on The Block, Little Big Town and Billy Currington, to name a few. As the Tourlink “Top Dog Young Gun Production Manager” award winner he embraces technology and good communication to be an effective leader to his teams and execute flawless productions.

The Parthenon has a free parking lot next to the building. Due to the current construction in the park, we do encourage attendees to carpool or utilize rideshare services.
