Atlas Music Publishing announced a joint venture with producer Quincy Jones. The Atlas/Quincy Jones relationship dates back to when key executives, Richard Stumpf and Phil Cialdella, worked with Quincy at Cherry Lane Music.
Says Atlas founder, Richard Stumpf, “My history with Quincy dates back to the mid-2000’s. I’ve never met a more inspiring and gracious person with such worldly knowledge beyond music. When Quincy talks to you, he is genuinely interested in what’s going on in your world. I’m sure this is one of the qualities that make him such a creative genius. He brings the best out of people. Through this joint venture, Atlas is humbled to be able to support Quincy, Adam Fell and the rest of the Quincy Jones team as they bring the best out of young writers, who like us, are drawn to his magic.”
Adds Quincy Jones, "It's an absolute honor to join forces with Atlas, and my brothers Rich and Scooter, to create a home for not only incredible musicians, but incredible songs. A great song can make the worst singer in the world a star, but the three greatest singers in the world can't save a bad song! We're looking forward to creating a publishing community filled with only the best of the best songs AND human beings.”
Earlier this year, Atlas was acquired by Ithaca Holdings which is led by SB Projects founder Scooter Braun who counts Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, J. Balvin Zac Brown Band, Dan & Shay and Tori Kelly, among others, as clients.
