its Board of Directors appointed Darrell
Webb to be the company’s new President
and Chief Executive Officer. In his new
role, Webb will enhance Guitar Center’s
customer experience and further bolster
the company’s position as an omni-
channel retailer. Webb has more than 30 years of experience in retailing and has led several multi-billion dollar retailers through periods of rapid growth. Previously Webb served as Chairman and CEO of the Sports Authority, Inc., Chairman, CEO and President of Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores and spent 20 years with Fred Meyer, Inc. and Kroger Company.
