Michael Dorf has announced the initial lineup of artists confirmed to pay tribute to the music of Prince at Carnegie Hall on March 7 featuring houseband The Roots. The concert marks the ninth installment of Dorf's annual series, which has raised over $700,000 to date for music education programs for underprivileged youth.

Previous sold-out Carnegie concerts presented by Dorf have honored the music of such artists as Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, R.E.M., Neil Young, The Who and The Rolling Stones. Each year 100% of the net proceeds from the concert are given to music education non-profits. This years recipients include: The American Symphony Orchestra's Music Notes, Church Street School of Music, Young Audiences New York, FIKS (Fixing Instruments for Kids in Schools), Little Kids Rock, and the Center for Arts Education.
