And The Writer Is… is back for a 3rd season beginning Monday, April 30. There are millions of singers, thousands of artists and only 40 songs per genre on the charts at a time. This podcast goes behind the scenes to show how these songs are written.
Guests slated for 2018 include Ryan Tedder (One Republic) and Nick Jonas amongst other songwriters who’ve penned hits for both themselves and some of the biggest artists in the world. These songwriters join a laundry list of ATWI alumni like Babyface, Charlie Puth, Mike Posner, Jack Antonoff (Fun., Bleachers), Benny Blanco, Thomas Rhett and Bebe Rexha.
Anchored by multi-platinum songwriter Ross Golan (Selena Gomez, Flo Rida, Lady Antebellum, Ariana Grande and others) and produced by fellow musical scribe and Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer Joe London (Thomas Rhett, Jason Derulo, Pitbull and others), the podcast explores the songwriting process through a candid interview that can only happen amongst fellow writers.
“We have lined up a group of truly inspiring writers for season three and we can’t wait to release these episodes to our listeners,” said Golan. “Songwriters are often overlooked in the industry and we’re hoping to continue to shine a light on the men and women who craft the soundtrack of our lives.”
The new season will consist of 12 brand new episodes released every Monday starting April 30. And The Writer Is… is a joint venture between Big Deal Music Group, Mega House Music, Ross Golan and Joe London.
