The Lounge Performer is responsible for proficiently performing multiple daily musical performances; fostering a relaxing atmosphere of welcome and goodwill toward guests; and establishing personal relationships with guests, which will increase their customer satisfaction rating.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Daily musical performances and rehearsals when needed with onboard entertainment staff and guest entertainers
- Leading and participating in games and activities for guests, including but not limited to, trivia, on shore hikes, craft activities and onboard games and game shows
- Operation of onboard audio, light and A/V equipment
- Participate in the creation of various theme nights in all entertainment venues
- Performing at any/all entertainment venues as scheduled by the Entertainment Director (this includes providing sheet music and scheduling rehearsal with the accompanist)
- Participating in rehearsals as the Entertainment Director sees fit
- Adhering to any changes or additions to this list or any cruise layout
- Developing personal relationships with guests to maximize their satisfaction (learn names, take interest in their personal history, engage in conversation, act as goodwill ambassador when problems occur)
- Participate in weekly all-crew tasks including, but not limited to, operating a computer for weekly guest embarkation, emergency drills, loading stores, carrying trash, cleaning crew areas, handling luggage, transporting co-workers using company vehicles
- Participate and ensure participation of all USCG mandated drills and emergency procedures as directed
- Actively participates in embarking duties such as loading, unloading, luggage carrying, etc., as needed
- Performs other duties if required since above stated describe only a regular working day and may not be inclusive of every task needed to achieve results
