Stephen Stills and Vernon Reid are newly announced performers being added to America Salutes You presents Guitar Legends II. ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons will anchor a stellar line-up of legendary guitarists and singers previously announced to perform including Joe Bonamassa, Don Felder, Sammy Hagar, Robby Krieger, Dave Navarro, Orianthi and Emily Estefan for this concert for brain and mental wellness charities at the Novo Theater in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. PDT. Norman Lear and Joe Mantegna will be recognized for their contributions to American culture. Additional star artists and celebrities to be announced shortly. With the LA All-Stars as the house band including Kenny Aronoff and members of the Conan O’Brien Show Band, the concert will be broadcasted nationally on Tribune Media owned or operated television stations and streamed internationally. It will be live to tape so please check local listings for the station and airdate in your area. Sinclair Broadcasting and Entercom join previously announced AXS as broadcast partners for Guitar Legends II.
Harold Owens, MusiCares; Dr. Marleen Wong, USC School of Social Work; Dan Griffin, Griffin Recover Enterprises and Patrick H. Dollard, President/CEO, The Center for Discovery will form the roundtable panel on mental and brain wellness also on Sunday, Dec. 2 from 12 noon – 2 p.m. which is open to the general public at The Ritz Carlton Hotel at LA Live. This annual event always features a roundtable component with experts in the field of brain and mental wellness to discuss the latest advances in treatments and challenges to find solutions for a range of problems from PTSD for veterans and first responders to those facing depression and Alzheimer’s.
