To those who shun Darkness Everywhere’s vocal style, one could argue it’s a breath of fresh air to hear such a different approach. While there’s no shortage of thrash riffs preceding melodic outros, what keeps this review from a 10/10 is the feeling that some tracks end too soon—as if still in incubation.
That and having the legendarily skin-shredding Ben Murray at the songwriting helm leaves one wanting more from the percussion than what’s delivered. Standouts include “Starving Eyes” and “The Tragedy of Infinite Loss.”
