Hard to Love is really hard to like. This is Moneybagg Yo’s fifth studio album, and things continue to sound redundant. It’s like listening to the Migos, and/or any other rapper that the Migos have influenced, all over again. With Hard to Love, Moneybagg focuses on his pain; whether it stems from heartbreak, struggling with love, issues with loyalty, criticism made about him and coping with tragedy. Though his beat selection is solid, this project is thematically dark and uninspiring. Moneybagg continues to stay in his lane as just another trap/drill, Southern rapper. – Adam Seyum
