Long before Om and Sunn0))) materialized (and even before Boris), there was Earth, an experimental project from Washington that inspired countless drone bands that followed. Nearly 20 albums deep into their career, guitarist Dylan Carlson decided to take a different approach this time, writing and recording Burning Lips without a preconceived plan.
