Award-winning ADK Microphones was founded in 1998 by musician, mic collector and Steinway expert Larry Villella, who did his analog work when he did a recording class field-trip in 1971 and tracked Chick Corea live at the Jazz Workshop. His love of fine vintage guitars and concert pianos helped inform his microphone creations.
