A Song A Day is a collective of curators who send handpicked songs to listeners’ inboxes daily. They’re looking for an intern or volunteer to help manage and grow the A Song A Day curator and listener communities. This person’s primary responsibility is to help the company reach 100% consistency in curation (i.e. song sending). You’ll monitor activity in the curator community, send daily reminders as needed and help brainstorm and execute new ways to keep curators happy and engaged. You’ll also help evaluate curator applications and onboard new curators.
If time allows, you’ll also help brainstorm the social media strategy, feed social channels, curate music news, contribute to the blog and represent A Song A Day in various Slack and Facebook communities. You may also have the opportunity to help research and discover artists we’d like to invite to play A Song A Day showcases.
The company is looking for a creative person to generate ideas for improving and streamlining current operations and community growth processes, and to help execute those ideas. A strong interest in music and a dedication to follow-through is a must. Leadership or operations experience is a huge plus.
Though this position is unpaid (because they’re a side project not currently making revenue – they’re all volunteers), the company does offer free access to all A Song A Day shows and events, and a $100/month stipend for concerts, streaming services or albums of choice every month. They also welcome you to become a member of the curator community.
