Today, Chance the Rapper celebrated being the first independent SoundCloud Premier creator to hit a billion streams backstage at his Good Morning America Concert Series performance. The plaque was presented by the President, Mike Weissman and Global Head of Artist Relations & Label Services, Lisa Ellis at SoundCloud. The Chicago native’s first upload, 8 years ago off his #10Day mixtape served as his introduction in music and recently has returned to SoundCloud to release his critically acclaimed debut album, The Big Day debuting at #2 on the Billboard 200.
