The Village Studios was the place to be on Tuesday, Aug. 6, as noted artist Jenny Lewis held an event in support of her latest album release on Warner Records, On the Line. The standing-room-only crowd was first treated to cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by an intimate evening of live performances and an interview with Lewis and her band, which consisted of legendary session drummer Jim Keltner and former Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench. The host of the evening was none other than comedian and musician Fred Armisen. Lewis performed several cuts from On the Line with the band, and then she brought out special guest Beck to perform “Little White Dove” and “Rabbit Hole,” also from the album.
Jenny Lewis’ fourth solo album On the Line includes 11 new tracks and boasts a backing band of incredible talent featuring Beck, Benmont Tench, Don Was, Jim Keltner and Ringo Starr.
