On each tune, in his raspy/gravelly voice, the artist asks a probing question and provides grave commentary that’s peppered with Biblical references. Robert creates an aura and carves a niche, and even allows room to rip for an occasional guitar solo. Yes, the average listener will notice a monochromatic quality here, but anyone steeped in western folklore will appreciate this artist’s attention to authenticity.
