British Singer-Songwriter James Bay played the Wiltern in Los Angeles on March 25 to a sold-out crowd. Bay, now 28, has been making a name for himself for the last 6 years. Bay’s debut album Chaos and the Calm hit number one in the U.K., was nominated for three Grammys, and Bay received the 2016 Brit Award for Best British Male Solo Artist. Bay has won awards from GQ Men of the Year, Q Awards, Echo Music Prize and Ivor Novello Awards and has been nominated for awards from MTV UK Awards, BBC and an MTV VMA.
Bay released his second album Electric Light in May last year. In addition to several headline tours, Bay has opened up artists like Hozier, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and the Rolling Stones. Just a month before the show Bay released his latest single “Peer Pressure” with Julia Michaels. Bay’s set included songs off both his albums like “Let It Go,” “Best Fake Smile,” and closed with his highest charting single “Hold Back the River.” Bay also included a cover of the Beatles “Come Together,” in his encore. If there’s any artist to see of the last decade, Bay’s show is the one to see.
Bay has dates through August touring through the U.K. Europe and Iceland.
