Twickets Announces U.S. Launch

After experiencing phenomenal growth in the U.K. and a recent successful launch in Australia, face-value ticketing platform Twickets announces U.S. launch this fall.

The ticketing platform enables fans to trade tickets at face value for concerts and live events, countering secondary sites that price loyal fans out of attending events and harm the live industry.

Twickets' U.S. home page has launched today at twicketsusa.com,  inviting fans to sign up with more details to be revealed over the coming months.

"When it comes to the secondary ticketing market, the U.S. and the U.K. share similar challenges, so we're thrilled with this opportunity to now bring Twickets to the U.S, where I think most people have forgotten what it's like to purchase a face-value ticket" says Twickets founder and entrepreneur Richard Davies. "Helping fans pay the fair price to see their favorite shows is what drives me and the team every day, and our launch in the U.S. is a major step in ensuring that fans everywhere have access to face-value tickets to live music events by the artists they love."

Twickets first launched in the U.K. as a full ticket resale platform on mobile and web in February 2015, and has now become the largest fan-to-fan ticket platform in Europe trading at no more than face value.

Twickets has partnered with some of the world's biggest artists, including Adele on her Wembley finale shows, Ed Sheeran on his U.K. tour dates, and recently with Queen + Adam Lambert on their U.K. and Ireland tour, as well as with some of the U.K.'s leading festivals, ticket agents and venues to offer face value resale.

In May 2017, Twickets expanded to Australia in partnership with Ed Sheeran, who used his website and social media to direct fans to a specifically created landing page where fans could sign up for email alerts from Twickets once tickets became available. Twickets also partnered with Stormzy, Rag'n'Bone Man, Sigur Ros, DJ Shadow and Laura Marling, and teamed up with Frontier Touring, one of Australia and New Zealand's largest concert promoters.

The United States is Twickets' third territory, with promotional partnerships to be announced soon.
