Entertainment One (eOne) has welcomed UK/LA management company, Nerve Artist Management (Nerve), to their artist management division. Chris Taylor, President of eOne Music, made the announcement.
Owned and operated by industry stalwarts, Oliver Sasse and Ryan Hambsch, Nerve’s current artist roster includes Tiga, Big Black Delta, Eliot Sumner, the Black Madonna, Heidi, Daniel Avery, Moon Boots, Tensnake and Junior Empire.
“I’m thrilled that Oliver and Ryan will be bringing their incredible roster alongside their brilliant insight and experience in artist management to our quickly growing business,” said Taylor. “As our management portfolio goes from strength to strength, this is going to be a strong symbiotic relationship and I am looking forward to what the future holds.”
The addition of Nerve expands eOne Music’s management group, which already includes management companies Last Gang Management (Lights, Arkells, Diana Gordon), WRC Management (Kaytranada, Sango, STWO, Pomo, Lou Phelps), People’s Champ (Ryan Hemsworth, Badbadnotgood) and the recently added Hardlivings (Riton, Tieks, Jax Jones), jointly referred to as The Ozone Management Group of Companies.
“Ryan and I have been fans of Chris’ for a long time. We’ve had a chance to work together on a number of artists over the years and we feel that what eOne Music is assembling is really exciting and provides a global platform for our acts. It is exciting to be in business with a content studio that can extend the opportunities for our artists into new realms,” says Sasse.
Oliver Sasse started in the music business in 1998 working with Tiga and his record label, Turbo, which helped launch the careers of Chromeo and Boys Noize. Ryan Hambsch worked at DEF Ltd., in London for eight years where he helped guide the careers of Moby, Robyn, the Knife, Royksopp and Mylo. He also help set up Bert’s Songs Publishing as A&R signing and working with Booka Shade, Tiga and the Bravery, before joining with Sasse to form Nerve in 2009.
Sasse and Hambsch, who also bring their teams to eOne, will work from eOne’s London and L.A. offices, respectively, and continue to reinforce eOne Music’s presence in those important markets.
