Country pop-rock duo, Towne, have announced their recent signing to Blue Tile Music. As a division of Blue Tile Media Partners, Blue Tile Music aims to empower artists through creative funding mechanisms and hands-on assistance, helping them launch and sustain their careers. "We're both beyond-words-thankful and excited for the opportunity to team up with Allen Bargfrede and be part of the Blue Tile family," Towne explains. "We couldn't dream up a more perfect scenario".
The signing follows the release of Towne's debut EP, Games We Play. With the release, the band display their unique sound, mixing homegrown sentiment and iconic ‘60s influences like Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor and Carole King, with dive bar rock & roll. Nashville Music Guide recently praised the EP saying, "Games We Play takes you on a masterfully narrated walk through the emotions of love, life, loss and everything in between." Fans can now stream Games We Play on Spotify or purchase it on iTunes.
Towne consists of Pennsylvania-bred, music theater geek Steevie Steeves and straight-from-Kentucky, former the Pink Spiders-bassist, Jon Decious. The two talents unexpectedly crossed paths at Skip Ewing's Horse and Writer Seminar in Wyoming where they immediately connected musically. Not long after they met, they realized they both lived behind the liquor store on 8th in the heart of Nashville, yet they had to travel thousands of miles to find out they were meant to make music together.
When they began writing together, Towne's sound started taking shape. The organic blend of their soulful edge with Americana southern roots makes their music unique.
