Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Eliot Sumner knocked out solid performances of her sophomore album Information at The Troubadour in Hollywood, CA.
The initial notes of the opening single “After Dark” built to a dazzling, catchy synth base layered with Sumner’s characteristic husky alto and analog bass guitar riffs. She followed with the ‘80s influenced pumped-up rock number “I Followed You Home,” the pop-infused “Firewood” and the mellow “Dead Arms and Dead Legs.”
It’s clear that Information is a strong testament to her artistic maturity as well as musicality. The 25-year-old—daughter of renown Police frontman Sting—is well on her way to owning and perfecting her own signature sound after switching from her debut band I Blame Coco to releasing music under her birth name.
