It was just a few months ago this live reviewer saw Garrett Borns (BØRNS) perform as the opener to Charlie XcX / BLEACHERS. In those few months the artist has amassed more buzz than an ungrounded instrument cable.
Celebrating the release of his debut full-length, the up-and-comer brought his "A game" of falsettos and hollow body guitar licks for a sold out San Francisco crowd. The band would be wise to reevaluate their live sound, however, as the backup vocalist was louder than frontman and primary member BØRNS and the overall mix was muddy and incohesive.
