ATX EventSpace, a new online event venue marketplace, has launched in Austin, TX in preparation for this year's South By Southwest festival. Helmed by native Austinites, the site is designed specifically for anyone coming into the city looking to book a last-minute party for the festival. ATX EventSpace features a collection of bars, restaurants and event spaces available near downtown, with more being added on a daily basis.
"The past several years I've helped book events during SXSW, and the process can be a huge pain for the person planning the party," said Alexis Neal, Co-Founder of ATX EventSpace. "This marketplace will enable anyone to come in and find the venue to make this their most memorable SXSW event yet."
Just in time for planning an unofficial party, the new venue marketplace is designed to take away the time-consuming drudgery that comes with booking an event space in another city. With high resolution photographs, pre-negotiated prices, the dates and times the space is available, and information on any additional fees already taken care of on the site, party planners can focus their energy on bringing an event to life. In addition, ATX EventSpace gives planners insight into exclusive venues that tend to fly under the radar.
"I think most everyone is aware of all of the places around 6th street that have been hosting unofficial parties for years, and those venues are still great; we have a lot of them on our site too," continued Neal. "But there are places in Austin like Palazzo Lavaca or The 101 on 1st Street that are really unique spaces, and most people don't even know they exist. Our goal is to help our clients book like a local."
