Los Angeles-based rock band Dream Alive – Nik Phoeniks (lead vocals / keyboard), Ramon Ryder (rhythm guitar / vocals), Karan Parikh (lead guitar / vocals), Martin Fredriksson (bass) and Stanley Love (drums) – is set to release its debut album, Before The Dawn, on July 29. The record features eight tracks melding sounds ranging from psychedelic to cinematic, bridging the musicality between the band’s classic rock roots in Journey and Pink Floyd and their modern rock influences of Muse and Coldplay.
After tracking drums and bass at Simon Phillips’ (Toto, Judas Priest, Michael Schenker Group) Phantom Recordings in Van Nuys, Dream Alive recorded and self-produced the album at Karan’s K Loft Studios in North Hollywood.
"We worked day and night trying new sounds, textures and arrangements that would bring our vision for these songs to light,” shares Nik. “We are extremely proud of this album and can't wait to play it live!"
