There is really only one word to describe this British sextet’s album: filthy. Rife with shocking themes-—see “Is It Raining In Your Mouth?” and “Cream Of The Young”—Fat White Family certainly have proven that they are up to the task of making listeners squirm in their seats, and that they enjoy doing it. However, it all becomes a bit heavy and stifling about halfwaythrough, causing the audience to question if the band really does understand the weight of the music they’re creating, or if they’re just throwing it all around in hopes that they will shock listeners into being fans. – Victoria Patneaude
