Hit the Decks! It's Kiki Feel

Spanish, London-based electronic artist Kiki Feel says that she grew up in a family of musicians.

"Music has always been a part of my life from a very young age," she says. "It was something that resonated deeply within me. As I entered the world of clubbing, I started to taste the magic of DJing, and over time, I fell in love with music production as well. I’ve been producing for a few years now, but my passion for music, especially electronic music, has been with me since childhood. I was captivated by synth-pop bands like Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears, and artists such as Moby, Lady Gaga, and Madonna or Daft Punk, Giorgio Moroder, Pharrell Williams. It was these influences that shaped my journey and deepened my connection with the world of electronic sounds."

The musician says that her sound is a "rebellious hybrid, a sonic experiment where I forge parallel worlds."

"I take the hypnosis of PSY Trance grooves—spiraling rhythms, basslines that slither like the tails of digital serpents—and I smash them against the brutal obsession of Hard Techno: kick and snare hammer like axe blows in an abandoned factory," she gleefully continues. "I’m obsessed with contrasts: fury doesn’t erase melancholy, and power doesn’t suffocate mystery. I weave ethereal synths, melodies that sound like ghostly voices trapped in a mainframe, with dirty distortion and glitches that scrape like twisted metal sheets. I imagine cyberpunk landscapes where the sky is a cracked web of holograms and the streets vibrate with electric tension, dangerous and alive. My drum machines are armies of androids on the march; my pads are cold winds carrying the memories of vanished civilizations. In the breakdowns, I leave space for the abyss: liquefied atmospheres, resonances that pull you into a spatial void before throwing you back into rhythmic chaos. This is where my cyberpunk side explodes—metallic sounds, distorted samples of faceless voices, frequencies that seem to hack your perception. I produce music for moving bodies and minds."

Her latest release is the track "The Secret."

"'The Secret' is more than just a track for me," she says. "The title is inspired by Rhonda Byrne’s book The Secret, and I created it to convey the message I want to share with the world: the Law of Attraction and the power of the mind. With phrases like 'you have all the power' and 'thoughts become things,' it serves as a musical mantra, reminding people that they have the ability to shape their reality. It’s a powerful, uplifting reminder to trust in the strength of our thoughts and intentions."

As for gear: "I usually play with four CDJ 3000s or 2000NXS2, DJM-900NXS2, A9, or V10 depending on what’s available, and I switch between Pioneer and Sennheiser headphones depending on the vibe—always prep my music with Rekordbox but perform from USBs, keeping things flexible and raw; visuals are a big part of my world too, and I always wear my signature cyber visor to channel the full Fifth Dimension experience."

Looking ahead, Kiki Feel has plenty planned for 2025.

"I have a lot in the works right now—some exciting shows coming up, including tours in Australia and Thailand, and a lot of new music and surprises brewing," she says. "I like to keep a bit of mystery around it all, but let’s just say the next few months are going to be very special."
