It’s not really a “return to form” as these dudes broke up when they were still incredibly tight. Still, when opening track “Our Time” riffs through their speakers, 40-year-old hardcore kids may just stand up from their corporate desks and come out of mosh retirement, much to HR’s chagrin.
This EP marks Shutdown’s first release of new music since 2001, so fans should be open to new melodic structures. Standouts include “Our Time,” title track, and the chant-friendly “What Are You Thinking.”
