Internationally acclaimed independent label Ourness has partnered with Capitol Records to continue driving the success of breakout indie stars Royel Otis.
Through Ourness’ global reach, Royel Otis have amassed over a half a billion streams to date and nearly 10 million monthly listeners. The band’s track “Sofa King” continues to climb U.S. Alternative Airplay charts into the Top 10, alongside a performance of the song on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for the band’s U.S. TV debut. Their viral cover of “Murder On The Dancefloor” reached #1 at US commercial alternative radio this past spring, and their cover of “Linger” is approaching 100 million streams worldwide.
Royel Otis have had a tremendous year of touring, with sold-out shows and major global festivals including Shaky Knees, Boston Calling, Primavera, and more. The duo returned state-side for their “Glory to Glory” tour, where they sold-out two nights at Brooklyn Steel in New York; three shows in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium and two nights at The Bellwether, plus sold-out shows in Chicago, Nashville, Seattle and San Francisco, among others. The “Glory to Glory” tour now embarks on a sold-out run across the U.K. and Europe.
