The Korea Copyright Commission recently visited The MLC’s headquarters in Nashville to discuss The MLC’s operations and its role in distributing U.S. mechanical royalties to creators worldwide, which have exceeded $2 billion since the organization began full operations.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both organizations to share insights and explore best practices related to royalty collection and distribution on a global scale.

As a public organization established under the Korean Copyright Act, the Korea Copyright Commission plays a critical role in deliberating a variety of copyright-related matters, including setting regulations for copyright royalty collections by collective management organizations (CMOs) in Korea.
