The PLASMA Coil is a special edition of the PLASMA Pedal, designed in close collaboration with Jack White and Third Man Hardware.
“Gamechanger is one of the most innovative effects companies out there today. They don't shortchange a good idea; they take everything all the way. Collaborating with them has made Third Man Hardware all the better for what they bring to the table. The PLASMA Coil pedal is incredible to look at, let alone play through – it's so cool to come out with this white colorway anniversary version,” says Jack White.
Featuring a white chassis and silver plates of photosensitive, anodized aluminum, the pedal stands out from the rest of Gamechanger Audio products. Each unit is numbered, and the total batch is limited to 400 units.
Priced at 399 USD in the US, 399 EUR in the EU, and 359 GBP in the UK, the product is available for purchase via Reverb.com, Third Man Records, and Gamechanger Audio. Reverb.com and Third Man Records stores sell odd serial numbers, whereas Gamechanger Audio sells units with even serial numbers.
PLASMA Coil incorporates the renowned high-voltage discharge technology of the PLASMA Pedal. The pedal also features a unique multi-mode FX section with six types of octave-down and octave-up circuits. These octave modes are crafted specifically to drive the Plasma Tube, delivering a sound distinct from any other octave or fuzz effect.

High Voltage Distortion Technology
The core of the PLASMA Coil lies in Gamechanger Audio's groundbreaking High-Voltage Distortion technology, which transforms the audio signal into a series of electrical discharges. The input signal is transformed to high voltage and sent to a xenon tube, where an antenna picks up the electromagnetic vibrations surrounding the tube.
The result is an incredibly sharp and sizzling overdrive that is extremely clear and responsive. This patent-pending technology of high-voltage electric discharge also acts as a natural noise-gating device that creates strong contrasts between staccato notes, as well as eliminating all unwanted noise and pick-up hum. The PLASMA Coil’s electric discharge tube produces beautiful visible bolts of lightning that react to the input signal, thus creating a captivating experience for all players. In essence, you are playing a bolt of electricity.

Since its debut on the "Help Us Stranger" album by The Raconteurs, the PLASMA Coil’s unique distortion has been featured in many of Jack White’s records, including his latest album – No Name. The PLASMA Pedal has also been spotted on the pedalboards of various artists, from classic rock musicians like Joe Perry (Aerosmith) and Phil X (Bon Jovi) to heavier players such as Mick Thomson (Slipknot) and Richard Kruspe (Rammstein), and artists like Brian Molko (Placebo), Mike Kerr (Royal Blood), and many others.
