Onboards Industry Veterans Grayson Flatness as A&R Consultant and Kate London as Head of Legal and Business Affairs
Audio Chateau Records, the new label launched by Jared Gutstadt’s award-winning audio entertainment company Audio Up Media, is already making noise in the music industry. Today, the label announced that it has raised $4.5 million in combined funding from notable investors Glen Barros, Gillian Hormel, and Jonathan Schulman. The label has also solidified some of its leadership team, bringing veteran operational expertise and executive talent to help turbo charge its offerings. Barros, who is a Managing Partner at Exceleration Music, and Schulman will act as the label’s first appointed board members under this new structure. Other notable appointments include Grayson Flatness, who will join as a A&R consultant for the label, and industry veteran Kate London, who will act as Head of Legal & Business Affairs, overseeing business and legal dealings across all of label’s music endeavors in addition to her responsibilities overseeing business and legal affairs for Audio Up Media.
Formerly with Sounds Good, Flatness brings with him to Audio Chateau strong industry relationships within the Nashville scene. London has previously held executive roles at Global Music Rights, Interscope Records and Warner Records, in addition to her private practice experience.
Since its launch in January of 2024, Audio Chateau Records has embraced a diverse array of musical genres and talents, all of which have highly anticipated releases that will start rolling out this year. The current roster includes regional Mexican sensation Grupo Linea, comedy-country star Uncle Drank, Randy Savvy of the Compton Cowboys, whose debut mixtape is eagerly anticipated, and the health and wellness supergroup Maejor Audio Sunshine, featuring renowned producer and recording artist Maejor, critically acclaimed English singer-songwriter Bipolar Sunshine, and Jared Gutstadt. The latter project was spawned from the Audio Up health and wellness podcast series “Psychedelic Frequency,” created by Gutstadt and Maejor, and 2024 ADWEEK Audio Awards winner in the Best Culture Podcast category.
