AIR Music Tech Unveils Updated TimewARP 2600: Authenticity Redefined

AIR Music Tech, a leader in music production software, announces the release of the updated TimewARP 2600, the only ARP 2600 emulator endorsed by its original inventor, Alan R. Pearlman. The updated version brings the legendary sound of the ARP 2600 into the modern era with advanced features and authenticity.

The ARP 2600, favored by legends such as Joe Zawinul, Depeche Mode, Roger Manning Jr., and Pete Townshend, bridged the gap between modular and non-modular synths with its innovative design. First created in 2006, the updated TimewARP 2600 carries this legacy forward, delivering the authentic sound that revolutionized synth-based music.
The TimewARP 2600 goes beyond basic replication with advanced digital modeling and additional features, such as eight-voice polyphony and patch memory. This instrument retains the essence of the ARP 2600 while incorporating modern enhancements. Endorsed by Alan R. Pearlman, the TimewARP 2600 accurately reproduces the sound of the original. Contributions from those who worked on the original hardware help ensure the authenticity of this plugin version.
Features for All Levels
The TimewARP 2600 makes modular synthesis accessible to all users, from beginners to experts. It includes comprehensive guides and presets, inviting users to explore modular synthesis from the basics to advanced techniques. The TimewARP 2600 also functions as an audio FX plug-in, integrating seamlessly into any studio setup. Users can craft new sounds or add unique effects, using the synthesizer to process inputs and create one-of-a-kind effects.
Neal Gustafson of AIR Music Tech says, “The TimewARP 2600 is more than a synthesizer; it’s 'The Real Deal.' It honors the past while embracing modern plugin technology.”
