17-year-old Filipina MC and rapper Alex Bruce has released a new summer single and video called "SUMFLING," just as the weather starts to heat up.
As the title suggests, the song is about a summer fling, and Bruce just can't get this other person off her mind.
"Blending an infectious pop rhythm with catchy lyrics and vocals, 'SUMFLING' arrives at the perfect time to capture the youthful energy that is sure to enthrall Bruce’s audience this Summer," reads the press release. "Lyrics like, 'I don’t know what to do right now. I don’t got no clue right now. Am I lookin like a fool right now?
Tryna figure out but don’t know how' depict a coming of age story underscored by Bruce’s compelling vocal performance. The track’s euphoric beat and unforgettable chorus with lyrics such as 'Boy ever since that night. Couldn’t get you off my mind, I just wanna rewind,' has skillfully crafted a memorable new anthem that is sure to be a hit across beaches and dance floors this season."
Eating, painting and general frivolities take place on the beach as friends hang out and relationships are forged.
