The International Country Music Conference provides an opportunity for scholars and other Country Music professionals to present research into all aspects of the history and contemporary status of Country Music including educational applications. Country Music is broadly defined to include genres from Cajun and Honky Tonk to Bluegrass and Western Swing and all forms that have been presented at the Grand Ole Opry. ICMC always includes significant discussions of race, class, and gender as they relate to Country Music.
