Bad Bunny at the SoFi Stadium

Puerto Rican native Bad Bunny is redefining the definition of a global performer. He’s one of the few Latin acts to have successfully crossed over to the US. He’s a dynamic artist pushing the envelope with his musical versatility - combining genres of reggaeton, EDM, dance-pop and trap with clever and fun wordplay. His music transcends the norm, proudly celebrating his Latin identity and breaking gender stereotypes. It’s no surprise the city of Los Angeles officially named October 1st as Bad Bunny day for his cultural impact and positive influence on future generations. The date perfectly coincided with his sold-out performances at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. The back-to-back shows also served as the end to the North American leg of his “World’s Hottest Tour.” 

In support of his fourth solo studio album “Un Verano Sin Tí,” Bad Bunny delivered an exhilarating three-hour show on Oct. 1. The stage transported us to a summer day with its beach set up, perfectly matching the record's light and tropical vibe. Opening with the reggaeton track “Moscow Mule,” Bad Bunny started the night with an infectious bang -- 70,000 people singing along. 

It was a night of Latin celebration as Bad Bunny surprised the crowd with an array of influential musicians. He welcomed his first surprise guest, fellow Puerto Rican musician Chencho Corleone for their collaboration “Me Porto Bonito.” For his cover performance of “I Like It,” he brought out rapper Cardi B. She had the entire stadium dancing when she finished with a solo performance of her hit “Bodak Yellow.” Reggaeton pioneer Ivy Queen appeared during his performance of “Yo Perreo Sola,” and then delighted us with a medley of her hottest hits including “Yo Quiero Bailar.” Duo Jowell & Randy appeared for an explosive performance of “ Safaera” and reggaeton act Arcángel came out for a cover of his song “Me acostumbré.” What I loved about Bad Bunny is that he's not afraid to share the stage. On the contrary, he lets his guests take the spotlight while he disappeared into the background enjoying the show.

Bad Bunny went above and beyond to deliver a night his fans would never forget. Sitting down on the make-shift beach sipping on wine with his dancers he interacted with the fans as if they were long lost friends having a good time. He also walked along the stage absorbing all the love from the crowd. Towards the end of the night, he jumped along a floating palm tree to get closer to the sold-out crowd. It was a never-ending night of hit after hit. The 35-song set featured crowd favorites including “DÁKITI,” “Yonaguni” and “Ojitos Lindos.” Bad Bunny ended the night with the aptly summer hit “Después de la playa.”

Next up, Bad Bunny’s tour is heading to Central and South America, concluding at Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca on Dec. 9. He will also be seen on the big screen starring as Marvel’s first-ever live-action Latino hero in “El Muerto,” due in January 2024.
